Taking Healthcare to Those Left Behind
On 9 April 2026, Mushtaq Development Foundation organised a Free Medical Camp at Tibba Rehanabad, Mooza Kunal Shareef, District Muzaffargarh — in collaboration with the Major Jahanzeb Adnan Shaheed Foundation (MJASF) and BBC Record Commission on Advocacy.
Muzaffargarh is one of South Punjab's most underserved districts, where rural communities frequently go without access to basic primary healthcare. Tibba Rehanabad — a small settlement within Mooza Kunal Shareef — typifies the challenge: qualified doctors, medicines, and diagnostics are simply out of reach for most residents. This camp was MDF's direct answer to that gap.
Every service provided was entirely free of charge. Professional doctors were present throughout the day, medicines were distributed on the spot, and both male and female patients were examined separately to ensure inclusive, dignified access for the entire community.
"Healthcare is not a privilege — it is a right. Reaching the people who need it most, where they live, is the very spirit of service."
— MJASF Leadership, reaffirmed by MDF President Andleeb MushtaqCompletely Free — No Exceptions
From the moment the camp opened to the last patient seen, every service was provided at zero cost. No registration fee, no medicine charge, no consultation fee. The camp was open to every resident of Tibba Rehanabad and surrounding settlements.
Full-Spectrum Primary Care
The camp provided a broad range of general healthcare services delivered by qualified medical professionals, covering the most pressing needs of the Tibba Rehanabad community.
General Consultations
Qualified doctors examining all patients, diagnosing common conditions, and providing personalised treatment guidance.
Women's Healthcare
Dedicated female-only examination area with female doctors — ensuring privacy, cultural sensitivity, and dignified care.
Free Medicines
All prescribed medicines dispensed on the spot at no cost — patients left with everything they needed to start treatment immediately.
Elderly & Child Care
Special attention for elderly patients and children — priority seating and dedicated handling by attending physicians.
Health Awareness
Guidance on hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and when to seek hospital-level care — delivered in accessible local language.
Referrals
Patients requiring specialist or hospital-level care issued referral documentation to access further treatment at district facilities.
Three Organisations, One Mission
This camp was the product of a meaningful three-way collaboration — each organisation bringing its own strengths to ensure the event reached as many people as possible and delivered the highest standard of care.
Mushtaq Development Foundation
MDF led the ground planning, community mobilisation, volunteer coordination, and logistical management of the entire camp. President Andleeb Mushtaq represented MDF on the day and reaffirmed MDF's commitment to further joint humanitarian initiatives.
Major Jahanzeb Adnan Shaheed Foundation (MJASF)
MJASF co-organised the camp as part of its mission to extend healthcare beyond urban centres and honour the legacy of Major Shaheed through active community service in South Punjab's most vulnerable areas.
BBC Record Commission on Advocacy
BBC Record Commission on Advocacy participated as a partnering organisation, with Focal Person Mr. Ishfaq Garra representing the Commission on the day and pledging continued support for future joint initiatives.
In Honour of Major Jahanzeb Adnan Shaheed
This medical camp reflects MJASF's and MDF's shared conviction — that the legacy of sacrifice is best honoured not through monuments, but through living action. By serving the most vulnerable communities of South Punjab, this camp embodies the spirit of Major Shaheed: a force for change that reaches the people ordinary institutions leave behind.
Reaching Rural Muzaffargarh
Tibba Rehanabad and the surrounding settlements of Mooza Kunal Shareef are among the most healthcare-deprived localities in Muzaffargarh district. For many residents, the nearest qualified doctor is over 20 km away. This camp brought that care directly to their streets.
Miss Andleeb Mushtaq, President of MDF, and Mr. Ishfaq Garra, Focal Person of BBC Record Commission on Advocacy, were both present on the day — expressing their gratitude for the collaboration and reaffirming their commitment to continuing joint humanitarian initiatives across the region.
